Tasting Notes

Exuding an intricate fragrance, this wine reveals the essence of our estate's terroir, offering a delightful blend of sweet-tart blackberries intertwined with subtle undertones of pomegranate. Upon tasting, vibrant notes of raspberry dance alongside a nuanced touch of earthy pepper and comforting mulling spices. Elevated by bright acidity, the wine's complex structure gracefully unfolds, culminating in a velvety-smooth and lingering finish on the palate.

Technical Notes

The grapes are estate grown on our sustainably farmed vineyard situated in Blucher Valley, nestled on the Sonoma Coast atop fine, sandy loam soil of Goldridge. The 2018 vintage comprises Dijon clones 115 and 777, rooted in 101-14 rootstock, primarily sourced from the hill block 115 and supplemented by select grapes from the apartment block of 777. Benefiting from optimal growing conditions, including a cooler season following years of drought, the grapes matured beautifully. Harvested in late September under ideal weather, they reached optimal ripeness.

Fermented and aged in Tonnellerie Remond French oak barrels from Burgundy, our wine reflects the essence of our terroir and meticulous craftsmanship.
