I am Raghni Naidu, owner & founder of Naidu Wines & I want to share my journey with you and tell you the personal story behind my wines. Born & raised in the beautiful state of Punjab in India; I moved to the culturally vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia at the age of 18 in a quest for independence, adventure & learning. Here I also met & fell in love with my husband Kaushick Naidu who hails from Chennai, India. Kaushick has always been my biggest supporter, especially now with my wine venture.We both longed for the American Dream & immigrated to the States making San Francisco our forever home, where we reside with our children Sameera, Saveer & our cuddly Boston Terrier, "Aussie".
I felt a calling to share my passion for creating memorable experiences for others, as I feel wine has a unique way of doing so, unlike anything else. Naidu Wines was fueled by that very passion & is inspired by the farm to table lifestyle I experienced during my travels over the years; especially one very special family road trip from Monte Carlo, Monaco to Barcelona, Spain via Les Baux-de-Provence, France. This experience compelled me to begin searching for a similarly personal wine country setting back home in gorgeous Northern California's incredible rolling hills, sprawled with vineyards. I soon stumbled upon a remarkable Pinot Noir vineyard, owned by a second-generation Italian American couple that had planted and farmed it for over 30 years. The terroir was so beautiful, the fruit award-winning and this was the moment where it all began; Naidu Wines was born!
My dream is to create a wine that is always limited production, high quality, with a focus on terroir; while working with artists that share the same vision that I do. I want to invite you to get really personal with my wines and experience the terroir for yourselves by staying at our Estate vineyard to enjoy an incredibly immersive wine country experience in a private and secluded setting enveloped in stunning vistas. My family name - Naidu, bears the label to convey the essence of my family and its belief in the freedom to create one’s own path by following your dreams & passions with a tremendous amount of hard work, perseverance & grit; while remembering to always pay it forward. I am an immigrant woman claiming my space within this traditionalistic industry, because despite what others may say; I belong…. and you do too.
